24 degrees C!

It's been a beautifully hot and sunny weekend here in Oxford, if a little unseasonal. Today's highest temperature was 24 degrees C, and yesterday's was 20 degrees. The historical average for April is around 12 degrees, so a very warm weekend indeed. Next week should see temperatures plunging back to a more normal 13-15 degrees, and hopefully, some rain. I really can't remember planting seeds in April in such dry conditions before.

Today was so very hot, most of my jobs were dictated by where the shade happened to be! I planted Biztro shallots and Sturon onions, mixed lettuce and Boltardy beetroot. I also managed to sort out the green house tents, and one of the compost bins, as well as giving Plot 129 its first (and ahem, slightly overdue) strim of the year. The strimmer started up first time, which was a relief! Onwards and, rain permitting, upwards!
